The ModbusCloud Gateway combines RS485 (Modbus RTU), Ethernet (Modbus TCP) and 4G LTE with dual-SIM failover in one compact industrial device. Pre-configured for the ModbusCloud platform. Connect and go.

RS485 for Modbus RTU (energy meters, heat pumps, VFDs) and Ethernet for Modbus TCP (PLCs, newer controllers). Both protocols in one gateway.
Cat 4 LTE up to 150 Mbps. Two SIM slots with automatic switchover on signal loss, data cap, or network outage. Always connected.
Every gateway is pre-configured by us. MQTT connection, security certificates, and Modbus settings are ready. Connect, pick a template, done.
Set thresholds per register. When exceeded, you receive an email immediately. No more manual checks needed.
View live data, build custom dashboards, generate reports. Anywhere, on any device. Share insights with your clients via secure links.
Aluminium enclosure (IP30). Operational from -40°C to +75°C. Surge protection, reverse polarity protection. Built for meter cabinets, control panels, and outdoor installations.
The ModbusCloud portal shows live data from all your gateways. Temperatures, power levels, energy consumption, faults. Build dashboards per client, set alerts, and generate automatic reports. Try the demo to see for yourself.
Select your device from the library and the gateway instantly knows which Modbus registers to read. NIBE, Daikin, Eastron, Growatt, SMA, Danfoss, Carel and hundreds more. No Modbus expertise needed.
The gateway supports both Modbus RTU (serial) and Modbus TCP (network). Choose what fits your installation.
Connect Modbus RTU devices via the RS485 terminal (D+, D-, R+, R-). Default 9600 baud, 8N1. Multiple devices on the same bus with unique slave IDs.
Connect Modbus TCP devices via the RJ45 Ethernet port (10/100 Mbps). Assign IP address directly or via DHCP. Multiple devices through a switch.
The ModbusCloud Gateway is built on the Teltonika TRB246, an industrial IoT gateway deployed worldwide in energy, transport, agriculture, and industry. Teltonika ships over 14 million devices per year and is one of the largest IoT hardware manufacturers in Europe.
The gateway requires a SIM card for 4G connectivity. Order an IoT SIM card as an add-on in our shop, or use a standard data SIM from your own provider (Mini-SIM format).
